Everyone knows that moving to a new home is one of the most stressful experiences most people can have, not to mention incredibly expensive, but Safeco Insurance is trying to improve the experience by offering a free service called Manage-Your-Move.com, which is available to everyone, whether they are Safeco clients, or not.

The service, a website that provides organizational tips as well as hooking users up with necessary vendors, including an online store where they can order reusable plastic crates rather than dealing massive amounts of cardboard boxes, tries to simplify the process of moving into three basic steps.

Jackie Craver, a solutions architect at Safeco's Open Seas, explains the philosophy behind the site: "Almost everyone has experienced stress and anxiety while moving, and we are proud to offer an online tool that allows people to focus on what truly matters -- family, safety and personal well-being -- during this important life event. We work to understand the needs of our current and future customers as they go through important life events such as moving, so we have built a well-rounded portfolio of services that provides solutions beyond insurance policies to the demands of today's fast-paced world."

Users who log onto Manage-Your-Move can create a customized moving planner which allows them to store information, edit tasks, and also keep track of both their budget and their schedule. It will help with prioritization of deadlines, and can also be set to send reminders via email, or direct to a PDA. For those with serious time deficits, there's even a "moving assistant" who will arrange everything for you - still free.
